It doesn’t really matter how you get there

Any chance to go and watch a live game of football and I am there. So the opportunity to go and watch my son play football in Teignmouth in SOUTH Devon was a good opportunity. The match went ok but they came second.
After the match, my son came into the bar and I offered to buy him and a few of his team mates a drink, which they went and got from the bar and funnily I never got any change back, students!!
They then sat down around the same table as me and we discussed the match. After a few minutes chatting my son asked ‘Dad, are we on the South or North Coast of Devon’
Taken back I said, ‘I can’t believe you have just asked me that’
So, I said to his friend Bob (not his real name) ‘Bob are we on the South Coast or North Coast of Devon?’
He replied, ‘I am not sure, err the North Coast I think’
I turned to Paul (not his real name) the goal keeper ‘Paul you drove here. Are we on the North Coast or South Coast of Devon? His reply was the worst of them all ‘I have no idea I just followed the sat nav.’
My son continued the conversation with back up from his friends ‘well we got here didn’t we, what does it matter if we don’t do geography or have a map in the car?’
I guess it doesn’t matter how we get to where we want to be in life.
We can meticulously plan with objectives, maps, directions, routes and plans.
Or
We can just go with the flow, turn up and plug a post code into a sat at the last minute and see where it takes us.
As long as we enjoy the journey and have fun along the way.
Enjoy
PS Teignmouth is a lovely place especially driving down along the River Teign. My son and his friends didn't notice that !!
