IF IT DOESN'T COUNT, SPEND TIME ON IT?

IF IT DOESN'T COUNT, SPEND TIME ON IT?

I was listening to a podcast recently and was struck by something that I normally wouldn't pay attention to. The talk was dealing with time and how it passes regardless of what we do, how we feel, what's happening around us - you get the gist.

"DON'T COUNT THE DAYS, MAKE THE DAYS COUNT"

THIS QUOTE BY MUHAMMAD ALI REALLY HIT ME TODAY.

???????

It's so simplistic, yet so profound when I take the time to think about what that means.

  • Do I make everyday count?
  • What counts to me as worthy?
  • How am I spending the precious time allotted to me? Am I spending it wishing and praying for this covid season to end and the time that goes with it?

I tend to be the kind of person that is always looking forward to the next big activity/outing/event/etc. I like to party LOL.

....I wonder how much time I've wasted over the years and how many missed opportunities that have passed me by in my search for the next <insert activity here>.

********************

?? There are a lot of 'things' and 'tasks' and 'accomplishments' that COUNT to me. When I take time to prioritize or rank areas of my life, however, I come up with the most important areas that I truly want to spend my time on.

? We all have a set number of days on this Earth, a set number of hours and minutes. Legacy comes to mind, of course. But, living in the present is also important.

  • Do daily tasks still need to get done? Absolutely.
  • Do I still need to make an income? Of course.
  • Do the bills still need to be paid? Definitely.

********************

HOW I ACCEPT EACH NEW DAY MAKES A DIFFERENCE!

? Am I grudgingly stepping into the new day full of worry and disappointment about the circumstances of life, of sickness, lockdowns, politics, <insert concern here>?

? Life has been at least somewhat difficult for most during this bizarre time in our history.

? I choose to wake up each new day, full of joy, grateful to be alive regardless of my circumstances. This choice is within my power and it is within yours as well.

? What counts to me is my family, my friends, my Jesus, and a heart to pass on unconditional love, encouragement, and peace to all I cross paths with.

I want to make sure that my ?????????????? ??????????, all of my ???????????????? ???????????????? ?????? ????????????????, my ?????????????????? ??????????????, my ?????????????????? ?????? ?????????????????? ???????????? ?????? ??????????????????????, and my ?????????????? ???????????? ?????????????? fully understand the depth of my unconditional love for them each and everyday.

As for my ???????????????? ?????????????? ???? ???? ???????? ?????? ???????????? - I never want to disappoint and forever live in complete unity and connection with for all eternity!

? I desire to pass on strength of identity to all women to live free of condemnation, self-inflicted or otherwise; to instill confidence and love that is seated deep within the spirit and soul.

?????? It is only then that we can rise in purpose and destinywalking out courage in spite of fear - to unbind that which has kept us bound, indecisive, and our gifts/talents dormant.

Everyone is unique and different. This is a blessing! What 'counts' to me might be very different for you. There is no right or wrong answer. What matters is that you know for yourself what it is so that you can use the time given to you in the greatest way possible!

? What lies dormant within you waiting to be released?

? What is it that makes your days truly count?

? What changes will you make to see a difference?

Candace Ginn, Great thoughts. I never regret anything I have done in the past, as I look at every incident and accident as a learning experience. That does mean I wouldn't change some things if I had to do it all over again. Make the lessons learned have value, and yes, make everyday count.
