Does your team love your marketing?

Does your team love your marketing?

I have two clients - (well I have more than two), but I have two clients for the purpose of this email.

And something they do drives me up the wall.

They have teams 150-300 strong.

Out of these 150-300 at least 60% of their employees have day-to-day contact with clients.

So this means that out of say 300 employees, 180 people need to understand intimately how to communicate and live and breathe the brand.

Yet for these two clients, every single team is siloed.?

They don’t have regular chats around brand development with their staff.

They don’t even have brand guidelines that outline more than the ‘fonts and colours’ and correct logo use.

Every. Single. Day 180 people have the ability to make or break their businesses and yet it’s still not a priority to these companies to empower their people to have a collaboration?mindset for the business.

I understand businesses of this size have all types of challenges that may seem like more of a priority to them than focusing on a marketing-centric mindset.

However, I would argue that a large chunk of challenges would disappear with some work around the collaboration of the business departments, and the trust and development of the business to stop thinking with the old my team vs your team mindset.

(Plus of course a look into systems, processes and procedures)?

You might ask what the hell does this have to do with marketing Bec?

Well, quite a lot actually….

If you look at any business which has built a brand… not just a business…?

They have one thing in common.

Every person lives and breathes the brand.

And awesome, attention-grabbing marketing flows from this.

More importantly, a BRAND is born from this.

The key to more leads and sales isn’t just marketing, it’s creating a brand.

My way of thinking isn’t groundbreaking or revolutionary, yet it is to the businesses that implement it, and truly live it.?

To quote one of my other amazing clients “People are the center of my business, and they should be yours too.” ( Lisa George (Duclos) )

It’s such a true statement, even when it comes to your marketing, hell, especially when it comes to your marketing!

Bec?
