Does your "Relationship Marketing" Strategy measure up?

In today's business world, everything is about nurturing leads, building relationships, and maintaining customer loyalty.
The term I use for that is: Relationship Marketing
How solid is your strategy?
Let's do a quick check-point from the start ...
First, your goal is to find new leads. You can do that by:
- Networking (virtually at the moment)
- Connect with people on LinkedIn
- Join various Facebook groups to meet new people
- Create engaging posts on Instagram
The key is to know where your audience "hangs out" and find them there.
Once you've connected with your new leads, the first step in Relationship Marketing step is to build a relationship ... and in today's market, that usually means virtually.
There are a number of ways to build a relationship with a perfect stranger (with the end goal being that they become a client).
- Create opportunities for engagement (social media & email conversations)
- Have virtual coffee dates
- Offer free webinars on topics of interest to them
- Do Facebook Lives
... the list goes on and on.
Great, now you've got them engaged and the relationship is blossoming ... but the cycle doesn't end there.
Next, you have to nurture the relationship to turn this lead into a loyal follower, referral partner or customer. Here are a few ideas ...
- Send relevant emails
- Create interesting social media content
- Engage with your potential clients on their social media platforms
- Offer LOTS of value for FREE (can't stress this enough)
Relationship Marketing is different from other forms of marketing in that it recognizes the long-term value of customer relationships and extends communication beyond intrusive advertising and sales promotional messages ...
... Meaning, you have to have REAL conversations with your current AND potential customers.
But before you can have a real conversation with your ideal customer, you need to understand his/her needs better than they understand themselves and then be able to offer a solid solution.
And that, right there, is the epitome of Relationship Marketing. Knowing your client better than they know themselves and being able to have conversations that truly help him/her.
Most of the entrepreneurs, business owners, and professionals that hire me, are very good in their respective fields ...
... but not so great when it comes to marketing, networking, building relationships, nurturing them ... and doing it all on a mass level (and now extra challenging with COVID in the mix).
It's, honestly, a lot to handle ...
So here is how I can help you.
If you haven't heard by now, the next session of my 8-Week Networking Certification program is starting on Wed, July 8th.
