Does Your Profile Photo Display Correctly?

I often see some users' LinkedIn profiles that don't have profile photos. The absence of a profile photo means it shows a dummy round head-like image.
Why do most users' profiles display profile photos and some users' don't?
If your profile displays a dummy image similar to the above image, there might be reasons.
What is there in a profile photo?
First of all, let us answer the question, "what is the use of a profile photo?"
A LinkedIn user profile appears fishy without a profile photo. People may be curious about the identity of the user profile. It is like someone comes to meet you wearing a mask that shields the actual human face profile.
A profile photo portrays your personal brand image in cyberspace.
A profile photo is the first appearance the audience will look for in a profile photo. Most people won't be interested in connecting with a default and dummy profile photo. Nobody likes to make friends with a masked person.
What if your profile photo is like a cartoon or a dummy image?
Sometimes I find users on social networks with profile pics of cartoon or anime characters.
If you like to propagate a cartoon or robotic brand image, you may choose cartoon or anime characters as your profile photo.
In some circumstances, a content creator may like to write and create content with a pen name. If the creators are true to their ethics and professional integrity, they may opt for a fictitious name and profile photo.
It may also so happen that your LinkedIn profile photo doesn't display correctly due to some profile setting issues.
Then, you seek a free or paid review of your LinkedIn profile.
Have a self-review or a friend's and a family member's opinion.
It will help if we seek a review from a friend or a family member about the profile photos. If the profile photo is not correctly visible, it would be good if we check the settings of the profile and re-load the profile photo.
You may ask your friends, family members, or colleagues to review your profile photo, and offer feedback.
In a recent update post, I informed a LinkedIn connection that her profile photo was a dummy image, not her actual profile photo. She responded, and her profile photo now displays correctly.
Suppose your profile photo vanishes on LinkedIn without your intentional changes in the profile photo viewing permission option in the settings. In that case, you must take some corrective measures to get your profile photo displayed correctly.
It is easy to get rid of the problem.

How often should you update your profile photo?
It took almost five years to update my recent profile photo. It has been a long time since I updated my last profile photo in December 2017! I shouldn't have taken such a long time to update my profile photo.
My personal opinion is to update profile photos at least once in a couple of years.
I also see some users change their profile photos too often, which is not at all a good practice.
If you update your profile photo too frequently (say once every two months), the community that knows you and engages with your content may get confused about your personal brand.
Frequent changes in your profile photos may have negative impacts on your personal brand image.
