Wow, a month flies by fast! If you don't know, August is my month off every year, which is also the reason why I haven't published a newsletter here on LinkedIn! #sorrynotsorry ?? This time of the year is when I really disconnect and take the time to think without doing anything. Yes, sometimes it's hard but it's really worth it.
Let's talk about trust! Does your audience trust you? And do you know how crucial building trust is for your business's success?
A recent study I read (I believe it was done by Edelman) showed that 82% of people stated that they need to trust a brand before they buy - and that was for all kinds of brands! As a coach or consultant, you are a personal brand, and basically, you are the product that you sell, because your clients work with you.
This is why I guess that 95% of people (or even more) would say they need to trust a coach before they hire one!
And you can build that trust by showing up daily on social media or by publishing a book for example, but that takes time, a lot of time.
Now the question is: How do you build trust FAST?
The answer: By getting featured in prestigious magazines and podcast shows!
Think about it: If you see someone appearing in Forbes, Cosmo, Entrepreneurs on Fire, etc. you instantly see them as an authority, and you are very likely to trust them that they are able to get you the results that they promise you!
So, if you want to make your sales a piece of cake focus on building trust.
There is NO other marketing tool that builds trust so fast as media and podcast features. That being said...

Sauter apart from the obvious client feedback there is one thing that people don't do enough of which not only can help win over the trust of strangers but also so push away the people who never meant to work with us in the first place. And that is sharing stories that have been picked up during and leading up to our time as an expert. This is because people don't just want answers, because answers are nothing without context, and wish to see how we arrived at those answers in the first place; i.e. they want to see the manner in which we solve problems. It's a damn good way helping them decide if we might be able to solve their problem, and if our way of thinking might gel with theirs. Also so pretty much since people were able to speak, stories have been the best way of make sense of the information we are trying to give them. Or something to that effect.

2 年I build trust by giving away loads for free, never spamming people if they trust me with their email address, and never using hard sales techniques. Oh and also by sharing testimonials and encouraging prospective clients to talk to my existing clients! I guess if there really is nothing to hide it makes you more trustworthy, right?
