How to write a cover letter?

1. Cover letter should be one page in length.

2. Use simple language and the same font as your resume.

3. Use a business format for Date and Address your cover letter to the appropriate person.?

4. A cover letter is a business letter so use formal block paragraphs with space in between.?

5. The heading of your resume and cover letter should be the same which includes your name and contact information so your cover letter and resume can be reunited if they get seperated.?

6. Your cover letter should mainly consist of three paragraphs.?

Instead of this, show the employer that you are a good fit for the company.

(Third Paragraph) (Conclusion)

Tell in one sentence how you can add value to their company , The last para should bring the letter to a polite close. Show your interest in the company and thank them for their consideration. State that you are looking forward to meeting with the hiring manager?

The primary purpose of your cover letter, when combined with your resume,?is?to get an interview.?The second purpose is to communicate the intangible not readily apparent from the factual content of your resume.

Include a cover letter if : ● There is a requirement for a cover letter in the job offer. ● One is requested by the employer, the hiring manager, or the recruiter. ● It's a direct application, and you know the person's name. ● You were referred for the position by someone. ● You want to mention something which is not in the scope of a resume. ***END*** Ahmed Shaikh HRM
