Does wording change the content?

In bias free world everyone would look at the information as it is -pure content regardless of wording, expressions and without attached emotional flaws and associations.

In reality we encounter full scale of judgments, misunderstandings and fights over who’s right and who’s wrong. Those fights - are they about the content said or about apparent meaning that one has attached to it?

There are two very bold examples I have witnessed over the years in various occasion, which made be think a bit more about the topic.

First example is rather commonly discussed in business world - INTUITION. Everyone is more or less familiar with the essence of this word - a feeling of something be good or bad for you, be worth proceeding or not. And NOT statistically proven calculations of expected outcomes.

Some people rely on intuition more than others, but the story is not about that. Leaders, business owners or a random person once in a while “uses” intuition to follow one path or another, take one action or another.

And yet there is still a major disagreement which is the “right” and “acceptable” form of intuition.

The masculine approach to define intuition to follow may be: “gut feeling”, “I just know it”. While more feminine approach to define intuition is: “inner voice tells me”, “it just feels wrong”, “I have a flair”.

The content is exactly the same, but the wording used brings judgment - is it delulu or normal.

So the business person hearing “inner voice” may be delulu and cannot be taken seriously, while business person following his/her guts is true master of decision making and should be respected. Okay, I may exaggerate here, but you got the point.

As soon as strong beliefs, especially religious affiliations come into the game, fights for the one and only truth are becoming even more severe. If wording for intuition is still a baby toy to throw around, “God”, “Higher Power”, “Universe”, “Higher energy” is a whole new level of fights. People are referring to the same - something/someone higher and more powerful than us, affecting all living beings on Earth.

People in business and in personal lives are spending so much energy fighting over the “truth”, which basically does not exist.

It is the same content, but the different wording! Since when we started to deny synonyms? And who said one is acceptable while other is total bulls*it and is deniable?
