Does team size matter?
Does team size matter? I feel No.
When I was 10 years old, my parents used to teach me biographies of Chhatrapati Shivaji, Subhash Chandra Bose, Chanakya and much more.
When I become 13 years old I learned that they were practicing guerrilla warfare techniques. Guerrilla warfare is a set of strategies and techniques to turn down an army of size 100 with 5 team size army.
If we relate guerrilla warfare with today's business, I feel that we can use the best of technology, management styles, and policies to achieve more with a smaller number of employees.
Some of the practices we are following.
- Hire the best, hire one good talent instead of hiring 3-4. Keep patience
- 1-hour rule: Automate the tasks which are taking more than 1 hour
- Develop utilities and guides for the team once something new has happened
- If the problem is already solved, don't try to make your own solution for them. Use whatever best is available.
- 5-hour rule - Spend at least 5 hours to learn new technologies, automation flows thinking and mistakes we are doing
- Give freedom to employees and empower them to automate flows, do smart work, build best reusable solutions.
Feel free to connect me on [email protected] or on my LinkedIn if you want to brainstorm or discuss something. We can discuss the problems and try to solve it.
