Does this still make sense to do?

I’m in the process of scoping out a new project with my team, and the list of potential things to work on has grown quite a bit in the last week.?

We can’t realistically work on every proposed piece of work, so we’re asking ourselves of each line item:?

Why do we need to do this again??

At first this seems silly. Surely there’s a good reason to do all of these things?—?that’s why we thought to put them on the list.?

It turns out that’s only true some of the time. Other times, we invent requirements…deciding things need to be done without really questioning or validating the need. In other cases, the requirements made sense at the time but no longer do now.?

For all these reasons, it’s good practice to ask yourself of anything that requires a decent amount of your time and energy:?

Does this really still make sense to do??
