Does Size Matter?

Of course it does! Have you noticed the popularity of items that are either very small or very large? When things are a “normal” size, whatever normal is, we take them for granted. But we notice when things are out of the ordinary like, for instance, the Smart Car and the stretch Limo. The Smartie goes for $15,000 – $25,000, and a tricked-out stretch limo can start at $1M and goes up from there.

Televisions are another item that fall into this mystique. People love to watch a movie while holding their Smartphone in the palm of their hand and might also own an 85”+ screen on their wall.

I have noticed the rage for teensy-weensy cupcakes. These petite sweets have tons of frosting and are advertised as bite-size, AND they are very pricey.  Yeah, one bite and they’re gone so the average person will consume 4 in a flash at 100 calories each. A normal size cupcake has about 300 calories. Do the math, people.

Let’s talk about the canine creatures. At one end of the spectrum is the ever-popular Mastiff weighing in at 200 pounds. Don’t let his size fool you… he’s a gentle giant who loves to snuggle with his family. Then we have the Micro Puppies (1?-2 lbs) that seem to be “big” business with the prices ranging upwards of $10,000 for a pocket pooch. The smaller the pup, the higher the price.

There is one item that will never be popular in a mini size – the diamond ring! Ask any woman. The bigger the better!
