• DO – Have somebody introduce you if you can
• DON’T – Begin with background (a waste of space, time and the audience’s attention), &
• DON’T – Tell a ‘Joke’ in an effort, so to speak, to warm things up – Unless you are talking to your friends, that audience there in front of you all shiny eyed and expectant, have yet to properly make your acquaintance, &, there's always the risk that they just won't get your idiosyncratic sense of humour... But & it’s a ‘Big But’,
• Do Start With A ‘Wow’ – Come on why are you doing this presentation? What and where is your passion? Know it. Own it. Wear it on your sleeve and be consuming, then in turn you'll consume your audience!
