Does Medical Astrology Help To Detect Mental Disorders?

Recently, a client consulted me for their child, who was diagonised with ADHD. This was the 5th case in last 6 months. Now, let me tell you in brief what ADHD is?

It is a medical condition related with our brain & in the past few years, many people have realised, sometimes quite late in life, that they have ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder). A chronic condition including attention difficulty, hyperactivity and impulsiveness.

ADHD often begins in childhood and can persist into adulthood. It may contribute to low self-esteem, troubled relationships and difficulty at school or work.

Mutable signs in Astrology, Gemini, Sagittarius and Pisces are more prone to this condition. As they are the most flakey signs with a short attention span, as well as the other two air signs, Libra and Aquarius. An afflicted Mercury or Moon, with Mars, Uranus or Neptune ( Rahu / ketu), Saturn & Mars involved can manifest ADHD.

In Astrology, Mercury rules nervous system and Moon is the Karaka for Mind. Mercury is the key planet for communication, learning and nervous system. 3rd house indicates communication. When Mercury is severely afflicted Rahu, Saturn, Mars or Ketu along with 3rd house/lord then native will have problem with communication.

6th house indicates disease, when Mercury is afflicted with 6th lord or 6th house then native will have nervous system related issues. Since Moon rules Mind, when Moon is afflicted by Rahu, Mars,Saturn or Ketu then native will have problems in focus. If Lagna lord, the Mercury , Moon, Mars and or / 6th lord , 3rd house, 5th H are severely afflicted then the problem of ADHD, learning disability and epilepsy can be predicted. If the affliction is moderate or if benefic Jupiter aspects the concerned planets, then the condition is temporary & can be cured much effectively during its dasha bhukti period.

It is also seen a person having Gandamool nakshatra birth, are more prone to mental ailments.

Now, I could see in this child's birth chart, that Mercury was highly afflicted &; in close conjunction with Saturn. Moon was debilitated & lagna lord was combust. The saving grace was Jupiter being the 6th lord exhalted & aspecting Mercury. Also, Mars depositer of Mercury was Vargottam & in exhaltation. So this condition was temporary & could be treated.

One of the remedies I suggested with other customised remedies was Pranayaam to the child. In Astrology, mental ailments can be detected through your birth chart with deep study & analysis often helps children at young age to rectify these issues at early stage.
