Does "getting clients"? feel like herding cats?

Does "getting clients" feel like herding cats?

WHAT IF YOU COULD COMPLETELY CHANGE YOUR RESULTS BY DOING THIS 1 THING...

I've just finished a session with a private mentoring client and it's been a game-changer for her.

In every private mentoring session, I identify the single most impactful action item that my client must focus on to massively improve their measurable results a.k.a. get paid more and more often, while having fun in their business.

Unlike mentors or business coaches who throw the whole toolbox at you and hope that something sticks (the spaghetti on the wall strategy)... I only ever share 1 piece of proven wisdom per mentoring session... and I select it carefully.

It's highly personalized advice... the kind of advice that, when well implemented, could 10x your results.

I ALWAYS prescribe the 1 thing that will have the most profitable outcome in your business right now ... and we work on successfully implementing that 1 thing, until you see the results. Then I find the next thing ... and so on. (There are 25 items that have a massive impact on the bottom line in a coaching, service or information business)

So here's what happened in our last few sessions with this particular client... I'll tell you about the 4 problems I've solved so far for her.

The initial 1 thing...

In January... we started working together. Back then, she was struggling with embracing an "avatar" and she wasn't 100% certain about how she would serve her tribe.

While it's a big challenge because it stops many entrepreneurs from getting through the starting gate... it's an easy one to fix... when you follow a simple process.

And let's get clear... it's much easier to let your tribe choose you than it is to convince a certain market that you're "the guy" they should hire.

The way I help you "get noticed by your tribe" is by mapping out your client journey, wording a message that is powerful and resonates deeply with your tribe and selecting the most appropriate call to action at each step of the process.

If you're unclear on how to map our your desired client journey - basis of all your communications with your market - watch my on-demand class. Reach out if you want my help to get it done. (link to class will be in the comments) It's free and it will get you going.

The reason WHY you have to be clear on your client journey and at which moment in their journey you want to help your tribe is so that you can clearly articulate the challenges that they are facing right now... and by doing that, you enter the conversation already happening in their mind.

And when you can enter the conversation already happening in their mind, they will believe that you also have the solution... and they will want to engage with you to potentially resolve their challenge.

And that's how the game starts.

You might be sitting there right now wondering what your client journey is... and if you don't work that out - by yourself or with some assistance... your communication will continue to fall in deaf ears.

The second "1 thing"...

Once she was clear on her client journey, she took off for about 8 weeks... she put her message out everywhere, on many channels.. had heaps of people "liking", commenting, etc... even a few interviews... but no one bought from her.

She built landing pages, webinars, a signature talk... but still... no paying clients.

She was tired, mentally drained... and disappointed that ALL her efforts weren't yielding results... so she reached out and asked for help... but this time... she committed to working with me for 2 months. So I rolled up my sleeves

She's a really clever woman who can do anything she sets her mind to... and often, the challenge with multipotential people is that they don't achieve anything great because they don't focus all their attention and efforts on 1 thing long enough to see significant results. So my first job was to sift through the clutter of her thoughts, materials and assets to identify what she would build her business around. Find the anchor of her business.

In her case, she's a bestselling author... and her book is a 6 steps system. And that's what we're building her business around.

You're not a best selling author yet? No problem. It's NOT a prerequisite.

For us mere mortals, your "anchor" could be a specific superpower... an area of expertise or a passion. As long as we have a clear anchor then we can build everything a business needs to succeed around that clear anchor e.g. messaging, marketing material, products and services, delivery process, etc.

So, for this particular client, her book outlining her 6 step system is the anchor that we are building her business around.

For you and me, it could be our signature system... or our coaching expertise, etc. You might be sitting there right now wondering what your anchor is... and if you don't work that out - by yourself or with some assistance... you'd be feeling stuck or overwhelmed.

The third "1 thing"

A few weeks back, I identified that she needed a step by step onboarding conversation process... so we fixed that. She went from not having been paid for her services... to getting paid. Woohoo!!

This also means that the people who engage with her are now receiving the help and support they need. Everyone wins because she now has a process that takes people from curious to happy and engaged clients.

You might be sitting there right now wondering what to say to get someone to pay you for your services... or what to say to sell more than one hour at a time... and if you don't work that out - by yourself or with some assistance... you might have to get a J.O.B and let's face it... that's an entrepreneur's worst nightmare.

The fourth "1 thing"

She is now outstanding at getting noticed, specifically by the people that she can and wants to help... but up until today, she didn't have a clearly mapped out process that captures all those interested people and takes them to the next step with her in the exploratory conversation. The ones who are proactively seeking her... she talks to them. But ALLLLL the other ones, get through the loose net stitches and aren't invited to become paying clients.

No kidding... there are literally hundreds of people who have shown interest in what she has to say and offer over the last 6 months... but she didn't have a process to follow up, engage and invite them to talk to her... So we started to map out the exact steps she needs to take her potential clients through so she can maximize the return on her "getting noticed" strategies and the time she invests in getting noticed.

I stay away from what other mass marketers are teaching... because the market resents most of those strategies... We have to be careful about how we engage and invite people to talk to us if we want to create a "good first impression"... not a "bad date" experience... or the too widespread "attack of the desperate salesperson" feeling we get when someone who just asked us to connect with them spams us with their service or product offer in their very first message to us. Eww...

By now... you're probably thinking" It's a great problem to have... getting noticed by lots of people who like her message" and you're probably wondering: "how does she generate interest in herself and her message? Easy... when you have a clear process.

Her "getting noticed strategies"

She is using several of the strategies I share in the 23 FREE Marketing Strategies Guide and now, she knows what to do to increase the number of conversations she'll have with people who have noticed her and resonate with her message because I've mapped out the exact steps her potential clients need to go through so she takes them from curious to happy client. And she only uses the strategies she enjoys.

As an example, she has decided to be a guest on podcasts... and now she knows the 3 things she has to do during the interview to increase the number of potential client inquiries after the podcasts.

Many of you are putting yourselves out there, hours every week... but you still aren't getting any paying clients even if you're spending a lot of time on being "visible". There's a reason for that. And there's a way to fix that.

If any of this sounds familiar... and you'd like some help fixing your client getting process, let me know. I'm happy to help you get the results you deserve for your efforts.

Big hug,

Nat Binette
