It Does Not Get Any Easier Than This!!

My Fear: "How will it be received? Will people look at this as bragging and disassociate or people will find the gem that I intend to have?"
Ah! I hate tests!
Anyways - with the Save-My-A** aside, read on!!

What I want to talk about today - Why do I find it really easy to get clients!
There! The damn feeling is back the moment I type those words!
"80% people wont read beyond this", my mind goes.
My heart says "stay with me bro - people want value and they will easily squeeze it and what it means for them".
Here is what I want to establish - even when this article is NOT really about Sales!
However much we hate the "Sales" - the fact is, we hate it only because our perception is the word Authenticity and Sales does not go together.
Because most "sales" we see is where the salesman is trying to shove a product down our throat that we don't really want!
Right?
When I started my journey as a Coach, I had to sell the idea of a different version of success to people than they had ever seen.
And because I had ZERO sales background and skills, I had terrible time getting people to see their own possibilities, even when my heart was in the right place.
Or So I Thought!!!
NO MATTER how much I tried to build the sales skills, my performance remained way below my own possibilities.
The feeling of not doing justice to people I spoke with, kept growing because I could not make them take the final step of signing up with me.
Till I got it.
It was not about sales, it was about Value Exchange. It was about my responsibility to make them see their own possibilities in spite of their current constraints!
Things shifted,
BUT....
I was still finding it harder than it had to be - and again tried to make it about sales skills - measuring stuff and all that!
And you know what, now when I enjoy tremendous success is getting a client through the entire journey of signing up to getting results and beyond - I have figured out why it is quite easy to get them over the line.
Simple: We Connect At The Core Level!!
How?
Look at the this diagram.
See how this kind of connection can really cut through ANY distrust, any doubts, any misgivings!

We connect with vision, mission, values, principles and experiences - and not barely for solving immediate problems.
That brings depth in the discussion and alignment that would otherwise be impossible!
These kind of things rarely happen in the real world.
In fact of over 1200 or so conversations I had with people I recall less than 5 times, when someone said that they had this kind of a depth in a conversation ever with someone else!
This includes all the folks who have had coaches or have spoken to some!
Pretty cool!! Neh?
Yes, my initial connect with people may be on a similarity in our experiences of pain and obstacles.
But!
The ease of them becoming my friends, my clients and a member of my inner circle is all about connecting the core.
Here is simple thing. I can only really connect with people if we have an alignment on most of the core elements
And so it is often so easy for them to decide to be my client!
I have been moved uncountable times with the stories clients told after they became my client - and to think of opening themselves up more than they have already done??
These type of things dont really happen in the normal world!
So - keeping it simple and contextual, what is your takeaway?
You may not be in sales,
But you are in the game of winning against overwhelming odds. You are in the game of wanting to be your best expression, being recognized for what you bring to the table, of being absolutely unstoppable.
So - How about connecting all of that through your core?
THAT connection will last a life time. That kind of a relationship will mean shift from mere transactions to value creation.
I am sure that you can remember your own story of when just because of your deeper alignment with someone - everything else became easy!

Books I am reading:
Breath: The New Science of a Lost Art, a short book but I took the whole week and I am still 2/3rd of the way. I had to practice stuff the author talks about - so it is taking time.
Definitely read it - it will cure sleeping disorder at the least (which I don't have) but at best it will give you an understanding of how you can live longer and healthier
