Does everything stay different? Offices during times of Corona.

Does everything stay different? Offices during times of Corona.

Going to work with a negative feeling is a gut instinct you should not ignore. In times of Corona, even the happiest person in their job might sense a feeling like that, and it is a definite dealbreaker. Above all, employers and employees alike should cater to our shared pursuit of security. The challenge we faced this summer after a first lockdown, we will encounter again after the current one. Although we don't know when the curve will flatten for good and the crisis will be over, surveying employees about returning to their offices is a logical step. No business can expect to return to "business as usual." We need to redefine what work will look like in the future. And to do that, companies need to engage their workforce to return to something new and better.

In my opinion, "New Work" measures will drive towards an employee-centered approach. Companies center their focus around the wellbeing of their workforce even more. The now internalized option of working from home will play as big of a role as safety measures in office locations. But the pandemic has also shown that businesses need to do some more homework on children's daycare, supporting single parents, etc.

These are the necessary adjustments that businesses should make. But what about the specific measures needed to free employers from the negativity caused by the corona pandemic. After such a long break, an "onboarding" process should be in place. If a new employee comes to the office, he or she is informed and integrated. This is how it should be after Corona - employees should be caught up, informed, supported, and slowly integrated into the new daily work routine and reality with a safety margin.

With my expertise in the "New Work "field and experience gathered from the "EHWDA" Initiative, I would be happy to work on your business's safety concept. This would include establishing a survey to develop an employee-centered working culture and a post-corona onboarding process for your employees.
