Does Everyone Know God?

Have you ever wondered if there is an innate understanding of God within each and every one of us??

It states, “For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their reasonings, and their senseless hearts were darkened.”

This verse from the book of Romans asserts that every person possesses a knowledge of God. It declares that no individual, from the dawn of history until now, can genuinely claim ignorance of a higher power. The existence of an unseen, powerful, and eternal God is etched in the fabric of creation and imprinted upon each person’s conscience.

But the scripture doesn’t stop there. It takes us a step further, revealing that alongside the awareness of God, there exists an understanding of an impending judgment.?

A subsequent verse, Romans 1:32, affirms, “and although they know the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, they not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.”

Within our collective consciousness, we recognize the distinction between right and wrong. We acknowledge the existence of absolute moral standards. Deep down, we understand that our actions have consequences and that we have all fallen short, deserving the sentence of death for our transgressions.

These insights bring to light why the message of the gospel is conveyed through human words. The proclamation of the gospel possesses the power to penetrate the conscience of those lost in the darkness of ignorance.?
