Does everybody love John Wick?

John Wick, the tragically unretired hitman, has already killed a countless number of assailants. It's been such an endless onslaught that even John Wick is gassed. On his back, panting—having recently discovered what it truly means to be declared "excommunicado" by the global assassin syndicate the High Table—John is vulnerable, as two assassins stand over him ready to deliver a fatal blow. But then they help him to his feet; turns out, they're huge fans. So we are.

John Wick is no longer a mythical figure who stalks the shadows like the boogeyman. He's a full-blown celebrity—even in his own twisted world.

Regardless of anything else, one must have a code to follow and guide them that is above reproach. Everyone's particular code and parameters may be different, but they must still be present or suffer grave repercussions for either not having or following them. 

In a more and more complex business world, it is clear that the more business risks are involved, the more trust and values become important. When the paper on which contracts are written have the tendency to be more and more irrelevant, you have to rely on trust and personal involvement. This means to believe in something, and sometimes it is necessary to suffer and fight until the end. Being able to look into the mirror after all, having explored all possibilities with unprecedented motivation. 

Like in John Wick, there is a parallel world of business relationships that might exist on a very personal meta-level, based on the bonds of common code and universal values. Decisions have consequences, also for the own life and aren't just another deal. Of course, there is also a downside: not everybody is made for this, and despite having the will and mental stamina, - the strategy game is a more complex one to be evaluated in this underlying world.

Maybe that's why we love John Wick. He fights for values, in a fucked up world. It's a great mythological and epic story, something to consider. In a world where "beauty influencers" with Millions of followers make apparently the rules, the John Wick Myth is something to hang on. But don't kill anyone! :)
