Expected pay for this position is $17.85 - $21.00/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Documentation Representative ensures the proper release and billing of home medical equipment (HME) and/or home infusion pharamacy (HIP) to OSF patients. Obtains, verifies, prepares and submits the documentation required for billing by reviewing medical records provided, as well as researching available sources of medical necessity. Responsible for verifying coverage criteria for reimbursement and reviewing all documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High school diploma or GED Experience: 2 years’ experience in a customer service, insurance, third party payer, or medical office Other skills/knowledge: Demonstrates ability to work independently and execute own workload Must have a strong attention to detail Must be able to use and operate medical and/ or office equipment Working knowledge medical terminology, HCPCS, CPT, and ICD-10 coding Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to plan, organize, coordinate, and execute work with minimal supervision Willingness to adapt, learn and accept changes on the job Must maintain confidentiality of all work related information and documents Expected to work evenings, weekend and/or holiday hours as required
