DOCUMENTARY VIDEO EDITING
Lennox Blackmoore after winning Guyana's first British CommonWealth boxing title

DOCUMENTARY VIDEO EDITING

"Don't Quit, Champ" is a feature-length documentary that took me to Guyana, Brooklyn, and the Dominican Republic following boxing trainer and two-time CommonWealth Champion Lennox Blackmoore.

It was an incredible journey. The documentary talks about Lennox's quick rise to Professional Boxings' number one ranking to his current gig at the famous Gleason's Gym in Brooklyn, New York.

"Don't Quit Champ" is a film that will inspire people to keep moving towards their goals, especially when our industry is struggling. Many talented artists and creatives need the strength and hope to find work and stick with their careers.

As I edit hours of footage and watch all the interviews, I am consumed with every frame of footage. I am slowly putting together the paper edit and script.

The real fun begins now as I am building the master sequence of all the footage. Going through all this footage, I realize how many stories I can tell.

What's next? My biggest challenge is learning how to market the documentary and get the completed film into the world!

The film is art, and getting it right is a huge responsibility. As a small film production company, I also have to be the director, writer, producer, marketing fundraiser, and everything!

I am excited to hear from you when my films hit the film festivals. In the meantime, any marketing advice would be appreciated. It's so important to support one another.
