Doctor Who - and data protection

Just catching up on season 12 of Doctor Who and whaddayaknow, there's this in episode 1:

Hospital doctor to Graham O'Brien:

"Sign on there.
Tick all the boxes  -  data protection."

Valid consent under GDPR for health data, anyone?

If Chris Chibnall or any other writers of Doctor Who would like a data protection law consultant, I'm game!

(Mind you, there's probably scope for an IP (intellectual property) law consultant too. Another episode mentions things being "copyright" the Doctor - not patents, not design rights...?)

I volunteer as well. I can do Technology consultations, privacy, #DoctorWho history, plot twists, or coffee runs for that matter ???? let’s just tell them that we are a team ready to go ??

XML nerdery - you forgot the opening <legalnerdery> tag - and I don't think you are allowed to use a trailing "/" in a tag name...

I noticed an obvious breach in Big Hero Six, where “Baymax” scanned the medical records of patients in an entire city. And now tonight I find my nine year old googling “How to hack”. Does nobody think of the children??????
