Do your summer clothes fit in your hand luggage? The ultimate test of sustainability

You caught us packing our bags before going on vacation for a few weeks. Summer is here, and we want to avoid paying extra for luggage. Did you know that what you bring on vacation says a lot about how sustainable you are? Let's check it out!

Where are you traveling?

Check the weather of your destination. This information will guide you when choosing cooler or thicker garments depending on the temperatures. Find out if there are usually sudden changes between day and night to avoid surprises.

Is there any possibility to do laundry at your destination?

Depending on the length of the trip, it’s interesting to consider if there will be the chance of doing laundry. If you travel for more than two weeks, it’s wise to pack enough clothes for a week and wash them once a week at your destination.

Keep it small

Whenever possible, try to limit yourself to hand luggage. You will appreciate not dragging suitcases wherever you go. Also, the less space you have to pack your clothes, the better decisions you will make and there will be no room for noise in your luggage.

Ever thought about trying smart luggage? Tropicfeel offers an excellent example of such innovative format.

Keep it simple?

Avoid including items that are difficult to match. It’s important to select garments that work well together and can be used interchangeably. Choose neutral colors within the same palette, fast drying light fabrics and clothing items appropriate for different settings: beach, sightseeing, etc

It’s a good idea to approach packing calmly, take your time and make conscious decisions about what you would like and what you really need. Make sure to leave space in your luggage for the experiences you are about to live!

Qué gracioso, I'm reading this while I am backpacking around Indonesia for a month. Wise words! ???? I always travel light and do laundry probably once or twice. Less is more!
