Do your dominating thoughts affect your business, your pitch, and your presentations?

Do your dominating thoughts affect your business, your pitch, and your presentations?

In the world of business today our confidence levels are under continual bombardment in a variety of areas, situations and circumstances. Those pressures can affect how we speak, think, carry ourselves, and promote the most important aspect of our brand, us!

How they affect us alters and adds deep meaning to the words we use in our everyday lives in every aspect. Messages of doubt are ever present and are like enemies at the gate pressing hard to invade the fortress of our minds. Once they get in and take root, they ransack the place like a plague that swoops over the land swallowing all in its path. They start to infiltrate our daily lives in everything we do, and they drain our resources!

When a speaker crafts their keynote or presentation, they choose their words carefully, so they create impact, are compelling and hold deep meaning for the audience. But those words are only believable, and the audience will only feel those words, if we truly believe in them ourselves. To do that, those powerful words and messages of strength need to be consistently active throughout our days and tasks.

Do you ‘Live in, day in and day out’ the words that you use in your business and presentations?

Socrates told us that the way to get a good reputation is to endeavour to be what we aspire to be. It’s the best way to build our credibility, to live the words you speak about and let your light shine for all to see.

Who we are affects our growth and that includes being equipped emotionally for the level of success that we want and speak about.

Our energy comes from our feelings. Our abilities are of lesser use compared to our actions, our passion and our energy. If we are going to speak and lead, we need to lead with energy.

There are always pressures that try to push and pull in every direction. Keeping our minds focused on what affects us and how we learn to refocus quickly again is imperative to being all we aspire to be.

We all fall victim to pressure and doubt, that is no weakness. The focus we want to have is on the strength of refocusing quickly, recognizing what thoughts are not paying the rent in our heads, and then taking the offensive to get ourselves back on track and back on our best game. That is key to good business performance.

To do that we need to set aside time to reset. That takes practise but it is crucial! Evaluate your day, how you feel, how you felt, what the results were due to those feelings, take a stock check, and come back to your performance level. Assessing ourselves frequently at regular intervals is a potent way to accelerate our personal development in all areas. Many hours, days and weeks can be lost to being dragged with a current of negative, strength sapping emotions. Every top performer recognizes the value of being tenacious enough to switch emotional states to get back to their most ready and productive mental state.

That is part of your everyday structure in your personal programme for success.

What could you achieve with a high-level focus? By controlling what thoughts, you allow to dominate your mind, you will transform your conduct for success.

Your best, your very, very, best…is a thought away.
