#Authorship in #SEO may have had a rocky past, but it isn't completely obsolete. Sure, the author name will no longer appear on the #SERPs, and #Google+ is defunct, but adding an #author to your #blog #content is still a way to enhance the user experience and build trust. It's a small step that can do a lot! ??????

On June 5, 2020, #Google announced that Currents is replacing Google+ for all G Suite customers on July 6, 2020. On February 10, 2022, Google announced that it would be planning to "wind down" Currents and transition its users to Google Chat in 2023.
