Do You Wear White Trousers?
A friends husband noted?that women over a certain age wore white trousers .?(They were in cornwall in summer )?He wondered if it was a fashion??My friend told him that they were all postmenopausal so were happy to embrace white without worries!?????

The menopause (a day) might be long gone, ?(hello white trousers!) but ?#postmenopause is a state that we are in for the rest of our lives. So what do we need to be aware of, to ?look out for, to ?take care of in particular?

We have 4 cornerstones, (heart health , bone health , brain health , gut health) post menopause that we need to be aware of and of the impact of past bad habits

Heart Health. Lower levels of oestrogen can contribute to narrowing of coronary arteries - stroke cardio heart disease
Bone Health lower levels of oestrogen means that bones don’t rebuild as strong also aging slows down process of regeneration ( as a living tissue bones regenerate remodel continually it’s said that it’ll take 10 years to redo Skelton) Osteoporosis osteopenia
Brain Health ?We are not going mad our brain is changing, Just ?like a teenagers

Gut Health increased risk of urinary tract infections and midlife midsection weight gain

What can we do
Hydration- ?drink 1.5 litres of water daily to assist brain health gut health
Vitamin d - sunshine and supplements for brain health mood and reduce dementia and also for bone health
Movement - daily 20 min walk + Load bearing movement ( Pilates kettlebells yoga Mobility we can help there)
Mental health- ?1) #meditation being present in the moment getting lost in the moment journaling.??2)Learning something new dance yoga Pilates musical instrument (we can't help with the muscial instrument)
Diet - Aim for a multicoloured Mediterranean diet, ?fibre 25g daily and lose the sugar (that includes alchol) or at least reduce it!
Rest – lots of intentional rest and relaxation to reduce cortisol levels?- we can help with massages and facials a great way to relax and enjoy some fabulous me time!!
And really importantly...
Laughing connecting having fun ?with?family and friends?- we all live better and longer with a supportive community. WE can help there with our community classes or zoom classes come and connect move and breathe along with friends
