Do You Want To Be YouTube Famous?

First off, sorry I missed last month, with a busy personal and professional life (give me a shout if you want to hear the low down) I just didn't have the time to write to you, sorry about that.

Talking of professional stuff, I've had a few clients ask me about optimising their videos for YouTube and I thought it was about time to remind you how it's done.

So why YouTube? It's great for your website, shows you to be a thought leader in your field blah blah blah... To be honest, it's not about getting millions of views but targeting your videos so that they get seen by the right people, your potential clients. I never know whether to say clients or customers, what do you think?

So how do you get your videos in front of your clienstomer? It's all about using the right keywords.

WAIT!

Before you click off of this newsletter thinking it's going to be hard and confusing, it's really not. The main thing you need to consider is, what will people realistically type into the search bar to find your video? Keep that in mind whilst you watch my video all about optimising your videos.

The video may be a little bit old (I mean, just look at my hair) but all of the core concepts still hold true. If you need a bit of extra help with this, give me a shout for some free advice.

What have I been filming?

It's not every day that you get to experience being in a multi-million-pound house (well speaking for myself anyway, I don't know what you get up to at the weekends). So filming this case study with Luke Emmott for Modus Vivendi was a real treat.

They wanted to show off all the thought and decisions that go into making a smart home really work for their clients. We also used the day to film content for even more videos which you can check out on their YouTube channel.

If I had a house like this then I would definitely have a few secret little tunnels and rooms. What would you include?

Cool stuff I've seen

I'm not big on the Gram and I'm not Tok-ing all over the place as it's not really my market but it might be for you. It's especially important on short-form content platforms to grab attention and build a fan base. So to spark your creativity, here are some cool Reel ideas.

And there we have it for June. Next time I write one of these I will be celebrating my birthday and turning 38, maybe I should think about becoming an adult soon.
