Do you want to work with a startup?
Startup companies can provide distinct advantages to employees open to a non-traditional career path.
Often positions are broader which allows you to dive in and get a better understanding of the connections between different departments. This very often leads to great insight into the company as a whole and plenty of space for growth.
Creativity, innovative ideas, independent work and out-of-the-box thinking are generally some of the key personality traits that are beneficial within this forward-thinking culture.
However, if you’re looking for a typical 9-5 job where you know your role inside out, it’s generally better to choose an established company.
This is what I found to be the beauty of recruitment, to have that conversation. To listen to the needs and wants of the candidates and match them with a company that will lead to a beneficial collaboration for both the candidate and the company.
Personally, I love the start-up environment. Feeling that I’m a part of the company and knowing that my contribution really makes a difference and that I can influence decisions in a positive way that will drive the business forward.
My personality and interests always made me more suited for a position outside of the norm, and I found that startup companies can provide distinct advantages to employees like me.
If you are looking to join a start-up, I got a few opportunities available.
