Do you want to start an agency?

Do you want to start an agency?

If the answer is yes, then I have an opportunity for you.

Your first test is to show you have stamina and resilience. I've put the details towards the end of this newsletter. If you can get through that, then agency life should be a piece of cake.

This weeks update covers most of the projects I'm involved in, but at very top level.

One of the main pieces of advice I dish out to founders, is to simplify things. Their messaging. Their new business strategy. Their processes.

Plus, that everything should be fluid and constantly adapt to feedback from the market.

Well, my ego isn't too big to take my own advice. So that's what I'm doing.

In March last year I launched FounderON as a weekly blog, that then became a consulting thing for a while, that then changed to mentoring plus free calls, and now also digital courses.

In November last year I launched Kitchimo with Ethan Kitching to support larger agencies to scale and sell.

And to further complicate things, the week after we launched The Ten Club as a project to invest in budding future founders to help them launch their own agency.

We knew exactly what it all meant. But it was pretty confusing. Even just the fact everything had different names.

Plus, we now have 6 months of doing all these things under our belt. Some things have worked, some things haven't. And somethings have worked but we didn't enjoy them. So we've tweaked the offer, aligned it with our life goals as well as financial aspirations and we're re-launching.

So from now on, you'll not hear about me talk about Kitchimo and The Ten Club. Not because they're not happening. But because it makes no sense to confuse you with different brands.

From this post onwards, I will simply talk of who I can help, and how. Oh, and what. Err, and why too.

Here goes.

WHO: Aspiring founders and freelancers.

HOW: If you have an idea for an agency, then we can help you refine the proposition, launch with revenue and quickly scale.

WHAT: Investment (from a selection of current and exited founders), mentoring (from 2 exited founders), community (immersion in the incredible BLUE14 community of fast growth agencies)

WHY: Starting a business can be lonely. And hard. Increase your chances of success by partnering with a group of people that have been through it and made it out the other side. Plus, investment to allow you to accelerate.

WHO: Freelancer & agency founders.

HOW: Support on how to win clients, scale and navigate/avoid the pitfalls that come with it.

WHAT: Digital courses and monthly mentoring.

WHY: The most successful founders don't go it alone. They seek out people that have done it already and they learn from them. The small financial investment will lead to far larger revenue growth and cost savings along the journey.

WHO: 15+ people agencies

HOW: Drilling in depth into your current business, aspirations and the bottlenecks that are stopping you get there.

WHAT: Half day workshops with me and Ethan Kitching where we work with you to remove barriers and identify a plan to accelerate.

WHY: We did it with our own 80 person agency and scaled to a 7-figure exit in 4 years. We probably did these workshops every 3 months in our own business. Since then we have done 8 or 9 and have made significant impact on agencies in just a few hours.

Hmm, just reading that back I'm not sure if I have simplified it. Or if I've basically just re-written it all the same but slightly different.

If you've shown the stamina and resilience to get this far, then I would love to get any feedback on how the proposition looks.

Is it clear?

Simple & lean! Am pleased it’s all being consolidated into an easier streamlined proposition. I couldn’t get my head around all the different names, offers etc, it was all too confusing & felt chaotic from the outside (you know the type of daily chaos thats in a creative entrepreneurs head)?
