If you look at my travel posts on my Instagram since I embarked over a month and a half ago, it would appear that I am living my best life traveling the world, eating amazing foods, experiencing the best of travel.
But that is not the truth. I am the saddest I’ve ever been in my life. I am still and will always be grieving the loss of my daughter. These videos and the practice of vlogging are just an outlet.
I don’t want to be gloomy, I just want to let you know that what you see on Instagram is not reality. It’s people posting the ‘best’ of their life and I would argue a lot of that is manufactured.
I imagine that if you follow me and follow business content creators you probably have this ‘shiny object’ business gurus flexing how grand and rich their life is.
Don’t be easily impressed by material objects and people who flex status or wealth. Reality is not as advertised!
In Italy I took a food tour and as we walked, there were many waiters who shouted to the streets to get people in their restaurants. I learned a very valuable life lesson from that tour guide.
He said: “Amazing pasta doesn’t shout on the streets to come and eat me.”
That hit home. It’s so true. The best places to eat don’t need someone on the streets nagging people to come in. The best pasta places make delicious pasta and locals know through honest marketing of word of mouth how good it is.
These type of restaurants usually have lines! A real indicator of how good the food is.
Be careful as you continue your journey of education in online business. People are not what they seem. Businesses are not what they are. It’s a shark infested world out there and if you have any questions if you curious about an opportunity and want my take just know you can always hit up me, your side hustle big brother and I’ll give you my honest thoughts.

90 Day Scholarship Update:
Speaking of people whose results speak for themselves:
Do you want to be popular or do you want to make money?
The biggest missed opportunity is people who create without having a foundation for a business.
What’s the point of going viral? To be cool? To brag to your friends? To wake up with +99 notifications? All that is worthless to me unless you care about ego and status.
Going viral is pointless without having a foundation. At a minimum you need to have a funnel that captures emails. Always have a link in your bio with a funnel that captures the viewer and turns them into a lead and a way to monetize.
Without a funnel you are just doing social media as a hobby. Followers don’t pay bills - emails do. Leads do.
You know you are doing something right if everyday you are collecting new leads and those leads are opening your welcome email and clicking on links to make money.
Don’t go viral - go monetize.
