You might think: I perfectly know what doing more is, but what is being more. Let me tell you, you are not the only one asking this question, and you are still one of the few who wants to know what the answer is. And you are also part of the even smaller group who is considering this as an experience to experiment with.
So let us see how we can best define being more, but before that let's clarify what 'being' is.
Being is about presence.
Being is about distancing yourself from your thoughts.
Being is embracing all that is around us without active 'doing-like' involvement in those things.
How can one just be? It is a continuous practice. It is a muscle to develop. It can start with just taking a few deep breaths or slowing down in whatever you are doing. Altogether being is being present in the moment.
No, it is not only during meditation.
Yes, it is about being mindful in every moment in your life.
Does it mean you need to slow down in everything you do throughout the day? Definiltely not. It just means you are present in the moment. Let me share a few examples here:
These are just a few ideas, but hopefully it helps you understand what 'being' is. Also, I do trust it helps you get clarity on what you want to have more of in your life.
How would you define 'being' and how do you practice it in your life?
With peace and gratitude,
Beatrix :)
