Do you want to change your personal brand? - Read this

Many people are afraid to make changes to their personal brand.

Potentially it might harm your personal brand and damage your authority.

My personal opinion?

If it is not evolving, you are doing something wrong.

But you need to pay attention to some details.

Here are my tips??

Here are my tips:

  1. Stay true to your core values.
  2. Regularly reassess your brand's direction
  3. Create a feedback loop with your audience
  4. Showcase your growth and learning journey
  5. Communicate the Change Openly

The key is staying relevant.

Your target audience is changing as well?

Focus on common points first.

Remember to make your changes smoothly.

Assess Your Brand's Direction

As markets and audiences change, so should your brand.

This change is a must.

Regular reassessment keeps you aligned with your goals and audience needs.

It will guide the way for your change.

Staying True to Your Core Values

Personal brands need to have values. That is for sure.

You are a living person behind that brand.

As you evolve, ensure your changes align with core values.

Remember:

  • You will change and grow
  • Your perspective might change

But your core values should remain the same.

Communicate the Change Openly

Transparency is key. When you make changes, communicate them openly.

If you don't your audience might lose interest and trust.

Explain:

  • How changes align with your vision
  • Why did you decide to change
  • What will change mean to your audience

Make your audience part of this change.

Creating a Feedback Loop with Your Audience

OK. Feedback is critical. Some feedback is more valuable.

It is the feedback from your audience.

Steps to build your feedback loop:

  1. Think of your ideal target persona
  2. Find 5 people who match your criteria
  3. Starting giving feedback to each other regularly
  4. Analyze and find common feedback
  5. Turn it into a poll - scale it

You might not see what other people see. You need to know what people find valuable, or not.

It is one of the most overlooked parts of personal branding.

Team up with your audience.

Task of the Week

Starting creating a feedback loop with 5 people.

Question of the Week

What makes you valuable for your audience?

Love the opening line in that article Seha Okudan. You're brand is an extension of you. You're constantly evolving as a person, so you're brand should be too. If it isn't, you're not growing personally or professionally. Great strategies in this one to help make that shift easier.

For 4- a personal brand is inherently reliant on others. Tailor your content, talk to others and make them part of your brand's story. If you don't care about them, they have no reason to care about you!
