Do you think it was fair?

The Sunday Telegraph published a public apology to Don Medicinal Cannabis and to me personally for false allegations made about my character and my business. Now, you may never have seen it if it was not brought to your attention. It was squirreled away in the bottom corner of a page, not even the size of a business card. This small token of an apology is supposed to make up for the hundreds of words they wrote in a huge pictorial article, that was nothing short of vilification.

Seeing they own the newspaper, and probably don't pay for placing their content - do you think it's fair the apology was that small? Do you think that a newspaper should take more responsibility in righting their wrongs? Do you think their apology should be the same size as the article that cast damaging aspersions on Don Medicinal Cannabis? How can justice be fair if the punishment does not match the crime? It seems unfair that a media corporation can slither off with a slap on the wrist, when my reputation has been left scarred.

The law is based on innocent until proven guilty. Through their false allegations, I was made guilty until proven innocent. It has been entirely my responsibility to reinstate your confidence in my business and myself. After months of being investigated and made to prove that statements in their article were false and misleading, all they can offer is the least they are legally obligated to. It has been distressing and time-consuming to say the least, to undo this injustice caused by others. But I put myself through this because my conscience is clear and the media need to held accountable for their mistakes.

I cannot thank you enough for your unwavering support and encouragement throughout this ordeal.

Speak soon and best,
Langdon Brown
