Do you share personal stories on LinkedIn?

Some people think LinkedIn is a platform for professionals so posts should relate to business -- That personal stuff needs to stay on FB.
Here’s why I completely disagree…
1. We’re human. How many times can we post our job title + description of what we do? And although I do regularly work that in since one of the benefits of LI IS networking, some of my content is personal.
Note: And we do need to remind our closest circle on LI of what we do, too. I’ve found that keeping up with even your “select few” is a challenge. It’s not that I’m not interested in what you’re doing but that I want to get your vocation exactly right if I’m mentioning your awesome self to someone.
2. Every time I see a story of someone overcoming a major struggle, I think ‘She/He is so strong.’ I admire them even more. It motivates me to help someone who needs it.
3. My personal “voice” (how I write) is part of my brand and so is what personal things I share. You’re saying, ‘This is me,” and it bleeds over into the professional side of things.
I see it as a good thing since it’s more proof you are who you say you are.
4. It’s entertaining. LI would be awfully boring without personal stories.
5. Some of my best friends are on LI due to them putting themselves out there.
6. It gives potential clients a peek into your world, how you think, and what’s important to you. These things matter. Sometimes they can even be deal-breakers.
7. Sometimes something in your story will be relatable to a potential client and you'll have something in common which is invaluable.
8. A lot of us are creators and tend to be always thinking of possibilities. Even if we don't want to be. It's only natural to add some personal details/stories to the mix when content ideas are going through your mind.
So my opinion is, open up. We want to see who you are.??
