Do You Recognize The Miracles In Your Life?

While people throughout the world celebrate the miracles of Easter and Passover, it is a good time to ask yourself if you recognize the miracles in your life? Many people think of it as something that only happens in books and movies and miss or dismiss the extraordinary things going on around them .
The miracles that happened over a thousand years ago are being celebrated today for a reason. The parting of the Red Sea, allowing the Israelites to safely escape bondage in Egypt and Jesus rising from the dead to connect with his disciples evoked tremendous gratitude and relief. The intense passion of these events irrevocably changed them, inspiring documentation to ensure that the stories would be remembered and retold, as it has been for thousands of years.
No matter your beliefs, the idea of these miracles is so compelling that most of us have secretly longed for one at some point in our life. But if you don’t accept the basic principles which makes something miraculous, you may not recognize it. Cynical views, “it’s just good luck,” or fear of being labeled “weird” leave many events unappreciated, unspoken and certainly undocumented.
What if you changed that thinking, kept records of the miracles you’ve witnessed and passed along your story? Can you imagine how it could change our culture to be more hopeful, appreciative and empowered? Miracles can and do happen regularly – it’s a matter of perspective.
Here are 4 things to consider that may help you recognize, appreciate and talk about your miracles:
ALIGNMENT
Being very clear and intentionally aligned with something you want to have happen means having the thoughts, the feelings and behavior all congruent. Internally and externally, your mind, body and soul are in agreement.
Not that bad things don’t happen, obviously there is still death, disease, and natural disasters. But even in the face of bad events, this clarity allows you to see the silver lining, the moments of grace when you are delivered something extraordinary, often in the midst of difficulty.
For me, not being able to have children allowed me to see the miracle of the adoption of my son, in a series of events that was nothing short of miraculous. I was determined and clear….I saw the miracle unfolding before me and gave thanks.
PURPOSE and INTENTION
When you are also aligned with a sense of purpose for something greater than yourself, there is greater clarity and focus. It helps you rise above the self-serving thoughts to consider something greater being created.
From this perspective, you are able to recognize the synchronicities as they roll in one by one. As I’ve been writing about lately, they have a certain random, unbelievable quality that make you stop and wonder. It’s the wow factor that makes you know that something special is unfolding. The synchronicities unfolding for me right now in our non-profit development is nothing short of miraculous.
BELIEF
As someone who has had my share of sorrow and suffering, I also believe that miracles occur regularly and have witnessed many in my life. Because I believe this, it’s easy for me to recognize them. Therefore, I maintain that Belief is a necessary and simple starting point.
Belief has allowed me to hear literal answers to prayers and to understand and accept the gifts in things I didn’t like. It’s allowed me to communicate energetically with loved ones who have passed over, take direction from unseen forces and witness miraculous healings. It also allows me to recognize and accept my clients' reports of these events with such frequency that I no longer think of them as uncommon.
INTERPRETATION AND PERSPECTIVE
Recognizing events as miraculous may be a matter of interpretation and willingness to be open about them. If my experiences are any indication, they are more common than you think. It’s not only reserved for the holy.
The importance of this perspective is that it empowers you to learn the mindset that sets you up for miracles. While you can’t control many of the negative events in your life, you do have control over your own thoughts, feelings and behavior.
When you are clearly aligned internally and externally with what is right, you become an energetic magnet to draw it in. I saw this happen while attracting my husband. We love to tell the story for it was miraculous–and the unfolding events in our life continues to be so.
Can you see the miraculous events that have occurred in your life? I hope you’ll share them and dispel the notion that miracles are only reserved for a select few. We can all experience miracles when we are aligned with our greatest good, have a clear sense of purpose and intent, believe they are possible and embrace a perspective that they are common. This empowers you to create the energetic mind set to make them happen.
