So many people choose to bury their head in the sand and hope they don't have any health issues, rather than finding out what is going on so they can make some changes and 'nip things in the bud' .
This question arose in a conversation this week in light of the 'Fully Monty' programs on Prostrate cancer and breast cancer and the headlines recently on diabetes and obesity.
WOULD YOU RATHER LIVE IN IGNORANCE THEN GET A SHOCK WHEN TOLD YOU ARE HEADING FOR DIABETES OR CANCER ?
Or
WOULD YOU RATHER GET CURIOUS & DISCOVER WHAT IS GOING ON WITH YOUR BODY & YOUR HEALTH?
Both great questions! If you answer YES to the first question don't read any more! Congratulate yourself on being a responsible human who cares about themselves and their health. Fabulous!
If you said "YES" to the 2nd question read on my friend!
Did you know that your Body Weight, Energy, PMS & Hormone balance are all affected by your ability to balance Blood Sugar levels?
Ad that once you get your blood sugar under control many symptoms you class as part of ‘getting older’ will disappear. Including achy joints, saggy skin, wrinkles, a disappearing waist and low libido!
Did you also know that constant stress affects blood glucose levels in the same way as eating a high sugar & refined carbohydrate diet and can cause heart attacks & fatty liver?
Problem of course is that when we are under stress the high carb, high sugar foods along with caffeine are things we tend to go for, creating habits that, without our knowing it are creating disease. We only realise there is problem when the symptoms are too obvious to ignore any more, and usually by that point treatment is more more tricky!
Did you know that you can help prevent Alzheimer’s, Cancers and Type 2 Diabetes just by knowing how YOUR body handles glucose and making small changes to your diet and lifestyle?
Awareness is the first step when it comes to looking after your health, followed by taking responsibility for your actions and the daily choices you make.
