Thoughts - Speech - Action
Do you consider yourself to be aligned? Do you usually say what you think when you're asked a (sensitive) question?
What about your deeds? Do your actions usually follow what you say—that is, do you usually do what you say? When you think about it, the people who are the happiest and the most successful are somehow congruent. Let me explain. They are consistent and congruent in their thoughts, words, and actions. That is, their speech corresponds to their thoughts, and their actions correspond to their speech.
Those who can express their true feelings are more likely to feel good about themselves because they are not contradicting their mental or emotional structures.?I consider thinking and speaking to be part of an individual dimension because we are the only ones who know 'what we think,' no one else does, and we are the only ones who can confirm whether our speech effectively matches our thinking.
When we get to the action, the story changes. We've already left the individual dimension, because we'll get feedback from others, right?
When our actions do not match what we say, and we do it repeatedly, we are telling those around us that we are not congruent and that we cannot be relied on or even trusted.
Therefore, in conclusion, wouldn't it be better if we just try our best to:
It could be a simple way to feel more complete in our relationships with ourselves and others.
