Do you need a Tesla?
With so many hosting options many find Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud Computing compelling. It offers high end performance tools and a long list of big players such as Netflix and Disney.
It sounds impressive to tell your friends over dinner, "My site is hosted on Amazon Web Services”, right?
Or is it? Since AWS is notorious for not providing any support.
Here is what often goes wrong:
If your site isn’t running and there is no one to call.
Simple tasks are complex and time consuming.
You are responsible for maintaining and configuring the server.
The initial cost is low but can grow unexpectedly.
What if your'e?not a Netflix or a growing startup?
Do you need to add this complexity to your life?
Conventional hosting offers:
Technical and billing support.
Server maintenance, everything is taken care of for you.
Services such as domain setup, certificates and backups are set up in a user friendly interface.
Maybe you do need support, and that is what I love to provide.
Here are my favorite hosting sites.. whether you need it or I need it for your site..
How much better you’ll sleep…
I build customized WordPress websites. I'm quick and reliable.
1 年I'm a big fan of SiteGround but glad to learn about Pair which I'll study up on. For me, support is one of the most important parts of the puzzle--real live humans. No chat bot to try and outwit.
Great post Regan! I have had nothing but trouble with AWS hosting. And my favorite part about hosting at AWS is when they just delete your site because of a server error on their end.
