I was first introduced to “Systems Thinking” around 10 years ago ... and for the very first time I truly understood why many Business Owners earn far less than they should be actually earning.
The reason for this lack of financial success is fairly simple ... they are working “IN” the work more often than they are working “ON” the work ... and unfortunately that means they are spending too much time doing the WRONG type of work.
A lot of people become Business Owners because they want to work for themselves not a Boss ... they want to do the things they are especially good at and therefore enjoy doing ... they want to decide their own hours and they want to have full control over their working environment.
But, all too often, Business Owners start up their business because they are really good at certain type of work ... e.g. Graphic Design, Business Coach, Property Investment ... without realising (until it’s a bit late) that they’ll probably be working longer hours, twice as hard for only a fraction of the money they need ... for at least the next two, three or four years.
They fail to appreciate that the work they enjoy doing is only a very tiny part of what actually needs to be done to have a successful and thriving business.
The number one task for every Business Owner is very simply making sure they are putting money in the bank ... this is done by promoting the business to lots potential new customers, taking as many of those potential customers as possible through the businesses sales process and delivering the product / service at a profit.
The “enjoyable” part of the business is not as a rule the real WORK of being a Business Owner ... the real work is of course: Marketing, Sales, Finance, Order Fulfilment, and Customer Service etc.
Therefore, all Business Owner must learn how to MARKET and SELL their services so they can have a successful business ... if they do not then the alternative is to put in more hours and earn a lot less than they should.
I work with Business Owners on creating a successful SALES PROCESS ... if you don’t have a written down sales process then this workshop is for you.
Having an effective sales process is vital to every business ... it’s a series of repeatable steps that you take to move a potential new customer from the initial contact through to closing the deal.
If you don’t have a written down sales process that's easy to follow then you are almost certainly losing customers and without doubt not making as much money as you should.
Since every business is different and every business owner is different - the best sales process needs to be individually tailored to suit you and your business.
Your individual sales process will probably consist of between 5 and 8 steps with each one building on the success of the previous - having a repeatable sales process means every customer will receive a great customer experience that is both consistent and highly professional.
The aim of this easy to understand workshop is to take you through the fundamental steps of building a successful sales process that will give you an improved business ratio between Initial Enquiry and Closed Sale.
Other business owners who have seen and used this material have grown their business and increased their sales income significantly in as little as 30 days after implementation.
As a workshop attendee you'll discover the best way to approach potential customers, what questions to ask, how to present your products / services, how best to handle certain types of objections, what to do to close more sales and of course how and when to follow-up.
This workshop is being delivered by me ... Jim Meldrum ... a Sales & Marketing specialist with over 40 years experience.
