Four years ago, Social Enterprise Guru David Lepage introduced me to the wonderful Bryn Sadownik at Van City Community Foundation. Bryn showed me a measurement tool called Demonstrating Value (DV). This tool gives organizations a simple way to communicate program and organizational value to stakeholders using the data they already have.
Since that time I have put a hundred charities, non-profits and social enterprises through a DV workshop to help them create their own Demonstrating Value Snapshot.

6 年Sarah Introduced me to the demonstrating value snapshot. I liked the way our snapshot captured research based information that was the foundation of our project and combined it with the program evaluation results we collected as part of our own research. It was unique to us and gave funders and stakeholders a quick view of our project while exposing them to relevant data that was easy to digest in a 2 page snapshot. Thanks, Sarah!

6 年I am pleased to see program evaluation being acknowledged as a key part of the process to demonstrate value. We in the evaluation community have been carrying out studies for governments for decades to support senior decision makers in determining the value of programs and policies. This suite of tools can be an important source to leaders in the not-for-profit and private sectors as well.
