Do You Listen To That Internal Whisper?

Do you listen to that internal voice that is constantly whispering to get your attention?

I would guess that if you're like most, you're so caught up in the drama, conflicts, and challenges of life and business that you rarely stop and quiet your mind long enough to hear your internal guidance. For 43 years I was oblivious to what it was saying, and even when I heard it, I ignored it.?

That internal whisper holds the key to new levels of wealth, success, and happiness. All you need to do is sit still and pay attention long enough to listen to what it is trying to tell you.?

?We All Have An Internal Guidance System

You have one. You have an internal guidance system which knows exactly what you need to do to find real joy in life. If you haven't heard it up to this point, you're not broken. If you've heard it and you ignore it or don't trust it, that's a sign of insecurity, and if you've heard it and are following it right now you know the joy and success it brings.?

No matter where you are in your life, you have everything within you necessary to get on the perfect path to a purpose and destiny specially suited for you. The problem I often encounter when I work with people is that they are so busy doing what they are "supposed" to be doing according to the rules of life and the guidance of others, that they stuff their uniqueness and try to pretend that they don't hear it. As they continue to live according to the a life designed for them by others, they continue to get more frustrated and less fulfilled as time passes.

Understand that that voice will not go away. It's not a voice which intends harm, it intends the very best for you. It knows why you were born, and it's trying to help you realize it too. It truly wants for you what you want for you, but you must stop trying to make it go away. Listen for it.?

If you don't, you'll continue missing out on all that life has to offer you.?

?My Life Was A Mess

I had powerful titles, financial prosperity, worldly success, but I was miserable. I was overweight, stressed out, overdrinking, and my family was a toxic mess. That's all because I was living the American dream. I was a corporate executive leading multimillion dollar enterprises, and I hated my life.?

I didn't enjoy where I worked, when I worked, what I did, or who I worked for, but I kept going even though it was sucking the life from me. The only things I loved about my profession was developing people and teams, and speaking to them as a group to unify and inspire them to new levels of performance. The things I loved felt like they comprised 1% of what I did, and I felt like I needed to do the other 99% in order to be able to do the 1%. A little voice kept telling me to quit and pursue something in the professional and organizational development arena, but I was too scared to make a change. I was scared to give up what I knew in order to make a leap that was less certain.?

So eventually I was fired. Twice. My employers eventually realized that I was not in my zone, so they put me out of my misery. That's when I decided to really start listening to that internal voice. That voice kept whispering to me to abandon the corporate path, start a business, and search out people and teams who desired to grow and step into higher levels of performance. If I would have been employed I wouldn't have listened, but since I had nothing else going on I decided to commit. Thank God I did.?

Success came quickly because when your passion meets full commitment, you enable luck to support you. You essentially create luck. My confidence grew as I found more people to help, and as my confidence grew so did the price-tag for my services. As my price-tag and my professional engagements grew, so did my bank account. In my first full year in business I replaced my corporate earnings.?

When I was in corporate all I wanted was to only do what I loved. If I hadn't listened and followed that internal guidance, I'd still be working for someone else doing things I don't want to do. That internal guidance was right all along. I'm wishing I had made that leap years ago, as my health has improved, my family relationships have improved, my schedule is awesome, and I only do things that light my soul on fire.?

I'm truly living a life by design.

?What Is Your Internal Voice Telling You?

Sssshhhh.... are you listening? That little voice is trying to tell you something. You can call that voice your soul, spirit, intuition, God, it doesn't matter to me what you call it, it's trying to get your attention and get you on your natural path.?

You can keep ignoring it or you can finally decide to listen and get into alignment with your purpose in life. You don't have to wait for life to collapse all around you like I did. You can take proactive measures, but you must trust yourself, spend some time getting clarity, and take bold and courageous action.?

If you are not in love with every aspect of your life, it's time to listen to that voice. It's calling your name, and it's trying to get your attention. Being miserable is one of the telltale signs that you're not in alignment. And only you can make the decision to listen and take action. When you do, life gets really fun. You'll experience more joy that you can imagine, and joy is a natural creator of wealth and success.?

The question is: are you listening to that voice, or are you ignoring it?

This week spend some time in silence and stillness and listen. Ask these questions: Do I love my life? Am I doing what I love? Am I truly happy? Do I trust myself to only do what I love and still be successful? Lastly, Why shouldn't I be wealthy, successful, and happy only doing things I enjoy? Why not me?

Ask those questions and listen. Maybe you'll finally start to trust that voice like I did.?
