This is true in your personal and in your professional life: People are often treated as a liability rather than an asset.
Happy Friday!
I cannot believe how many people allow others to put them down. I have met people who have said some pretty mean things to me but I have never allowed them to shatter the core of my being.
A harsh comment is just one opinion. I take a deep breath, smile and move on as fast as I possibly can.
I have learned to determine when to
During my 16 years in business, I have had only one goal:?I wanted to become so good that nobody can ignore the results my team and I bring to the table.
In my mind, there will always be someone who offers services cheaper and I simply don’t want to compete with them.
My mom used to tell me since I was a little girl:
“Karin, always go for quality. The ones who buy cheap will buy expensive in the end.” Thanks, mom!
Recently one of my LinkedIn contacts shared a great story and today I would like to share it with you. Make sure to read it!
“A father, before he died, said to his son: “This is the watch your grandfather gave me and it is more than 200 years old. Before I give it to you, go to the watch shop on the first street, and tell him I want to sell it, and ask how much they offer”.

The son went and after several minutes, he came back to his father and said, “The watchmaker offers to pay $10.00 because it’s old and has a lot of scratches.”?
He then asked him to go to the coffee shop.?The son went and after an hour or so, he came back and said: “The coffee shop owner would like to help you and offers $5.00.”
“Go to the museum and show them the watch”, said the father. He went ahead and returned full of enthusiasm. “They offered me 1 million $ for this piece.”
The father said: “I wanted you to know that the right people in the right place will value and appreciate you. Why stay somewhere if people don’t see your value? Don’t put yourself in the wrong place and get angry?if you get treated like trash. Make sure to?value yourself ?first before you expect others to see your worth.”??
FOOD FOR THOUGHT:
The self-worth of an employee is in direct correlation with the net worth of a company. How can people who don’t believe in their abilities be at their best?
