Do you know your values?

Do you know your values?

I am generally a curious person, and when my dear coach touched on the subject of values, I thought about revisiting mine.

Yes, values, like anything else, change over time. At one point, you might value health above all else, and later in life, you might prioritize success or loyalty. But the most important thing is to know your core values. If you understand your values, you can set boundaries and make the best decisions for yourself.

When I hire, I always check if a candidate's values align with the company's culture. We call this "culture fit." Most companies include values like Compassion, Accountability, Healthy Competition, Personal Growth & Wellness, and Equality. However, in my experience, I've encountered companies that abuse their employees by encouraging unhealthy competition, fostering a policing environment, keeping employees after hours without pay, not offering options for personal growth, and lacking any bonus schemes (for success or seniority).

When you know your values and notice they don't align with your company's values and culture, you can decide to change jobs.

We don't live in our parents' age. A job is no longer for life. You can find better opportunities. Start by knowing your values and build from there.

Finally, I'd like to share a little AI tool that can help you identify your core values. Here you go: Personal Values Tool.

Follow me for interesting job opportunities.

I am a connector; I match talented people with companies and build relationships that last for decades. I want you to thrive, not just survive!
