Do you know your customers?

We all have those customers who just get it. The ones who love our business. The people that rave about us and tell their friends how amazing our company is. The key to the quickest growth for the lowest cost is simply to understand them. 

Do you know why they love your business? Have you asked them? Don't just assume you know. The reasons people buy from us is often different than what we think. 

Who would you rather do business with, the customers who steal all of your time and energy only to make their decision based on price, or the customer that will buy from you even if they have to pay more? It's a no-brainer.

Even before you ask your customer's these questions, read from Daniel Kahneman. Especially, what he has to say about target questions vs heuristic questions. The $0.50 version is this: There's what you want to know from your customer's (target question) and then there's the question easier to answer (heuristic questions). The questions we ask are not always taken the way we intend.
