Do You Know Where You're Going?

This might be an unpopular opinion but I'm going to state it anyway...

You have a God given purpose in this life and you will live a more meaningful and fulfilling life when you.... Pin.It.Down. And this might be EVEN MORE unpopular... but you shouldn't get caught up in all the cliches you hear..."your purpose is to love and serve others" or "to bring Glory to God in all you do". While these blanket statements have some truth in them, they really are more misleading and they don't really serve us very well.

Hear me out for a moment.

Do you feel like you have a deeper calling, but you're not sure what it is?

Do you feel like you are "made for more?" or find yourself asking "Is this all there is?"

If this resonates with you then you're probably not really living in your true gifting and calling. The good news is that you can "find" your deeper Why or Purpose. But it does require active participation on your part. Otherwise you will continue to go from "thing to thing" enjoying the new opportunity for a while but then ultimately feeling unfulfilled. What are these "things"? Jobs, relationships, communities, passions. This list could go on.

So here's a first step to help uncover your deeper purpose and meaning as to "why on earth" you are here. ->->-> Start journaling. Not like the "Dear Diary" journaling. Start writing down moments, thoughts, ideas, questions, anything that comes to mind that touches you deeply or gives you a spark or lights your soul on fire. Do this for a while and see if you start to see patterns or a theme in what you write down. Pay attention to that. Learn more about it. Follow the trail and see where it's leading you. Start to get some clarity on who you are and what you're really meant to be in the business of doing.

The world needs you to be living out your true calling.
