Do you know where your donated goods go and who profits from it?
Recently I met someone who works for the local stores of Saint Vincent de Paul, and unlike other organizations similar to this, they are NON PROFIT.
"Saint Vincent de Paul has resale stores in many communities throughout Ontario. These stores provide people the opportunity to donate slightly used clothing, furniture and household items for the benefit of the poor. Some of these items are sold to the general public. Many of these will go to the poor at no cost to them. Any profits will also go to benefit those in our communities who are in need."
When cleaning your home, or purging for your next move, consider who can benefit from your goods the most.

8 年That is where our slightly used items go. So glad it is useful for others.
