Do you know what time it is?
I found this clock browsing on the world wide web. At first I liked it and thought it was funny...Then I was wondering. The hands do the work and show what time it is. Why do we need calculations or numbers? Keep it simple please!
When I was ten years old my parents gave me an alarm clock. It had two wheels. One to set the time and one to set the alarm. It was a simple and effective device. I never overslept. But last week it broke and I bought myself a new one on the internet. An amazing device with dolby surround radio, remote controle, three alarm settings, time zone settings, soft snooze and a manual in twenty languages. Last week was the first time I overslept in more than forty years!
In 1965 Bob Dylan recorded Ballad of a Thin Man.
Because something is happening here and you don't know what it is, do you mister Jones?
Nobody knew where the song was about. Even mister Jones had no clue. Neither did I. Till I found this Sir Richard Branson quote. I think (or should I say I feel) that we have made things to complicated. We can't see the purpose.
We have trouble finding a purpose for things but we also have trouble finding a purpose for ourselves. What do we do and why do we do it?
Make it simple.
Do you mister Jones?
