Do you know that what you think creates your reality, even more so- your?destiny?

The discussions that you have with yourself have a significant impact on your feelings and actions. Your feelings and actions will drive either a positive or negative outcome in your day, week, year and life! Is your self-talk full of encouragement or is it full of harsh words? Do you perceive actually a positive outcome or are you cynical and perceiving only doom and gloom? Whatever that looks like for you, that perception will be the driving force behind whether or not you accomplish your goals.

The good news is that you don’t have to let this negative perception or self-sabotaging prologue keeps you from achieving your goals. You actually can do a mind shift and train your brain to think differently. It is critical for you to understand that your negative predictions will turn into self-fulfilling outcomes. Negative thoughts will lead you nowhere. Evidence based research proves that having this type of mindset leads to people being stagnant in life and not taking any action. Your thoughts become your destiny!

Training your brain and reprogramming your thought process will actually physically change your brain. This is a continual process that can be done. Start small by assessing what you are currently thinking about a specific situation. Track in a journal any negative thoughts that you have. With those negative thoughts, replace them with positive ones. Here is an example:

Negative thought: I always fail at losing weight so I might as well not even try.

Positive thought: I have struggled with losing weight in the past but this time I will succeed because I am able to be successful.

The framework of my book, Fighting Fat with Fearless Faith is on rewiring the mind. My program doesn’t offer the typical advice on what to eat and how to exercise. It’s about retraining the mind to believe in what is true and then executing various strategies to work on their mindset. The battle with weight and most battles in life are in the mind.

Speak truth and life into yourself. State your positive thoughts out loud over and over. By continually doing this, you eventually form a new mindset- a new belief! You will start to take action and will see positive forward momentum in what you set out to accomplish. Most importantly, be patient with this process and believe you can be victorious!
