Do you know what is Midwifery And Women Health Nursing? Join 13NHPSUCG and get ideas to make your own research work.

The practise of midwifery is exclusive to midwives, who are those who give birth to children. It has a distinctive set of knowledge, abilities, and professional attitudes drawn from fields shared by other health professionals, such science and sociology, but is applied by midwives within a professional framework of autonomy, partnership, ethics, and accountability.

????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

In order to care for women and their newborn children, midwives use the following methods.

????????work in cooperation with women, respecting each woman's unique circumstances and viewpoints;

????????maximise the normal biological, psychological, social, and cultural processes of birthing and the early life of the newborn .

????????Women's personal capacity to care for themselves and their families should be promoted. Where necessary, collaboration with midwives

????????Health professionals should be used to provide holistic care that is tailored to each woman's specific requirements.

An independent midwife provides care for expectant mothers. Midwives possess and use midwifery competences (knowledge, skills, and attitudes).

?Types of Midwives

??????????Midwives have assisted women in giving birth and getting through pregnancy for centuries. There are currently five different categories of midwives who offer women and newborns varied degrees of care.

????????Certified midwifery nurse (CNM)

????????Certified Professional Midwife (CPM)

????????Certified Midwife (CPM)

????????Lay Midwife Direct-Entry Midwife

certified midwives and certified nurse-midwives (CM)

The highly trained medical professionals Certified Nurse-Midwives (CNMs) and Certified Midwives (CMs) offer care for women not just during pregnancy and childbirth but also from adolescence till the end of life.

Whereas CMs are non-nurses who have completed a graduate-level midwifery degree programme and passed a certification exam from the American Midwifery Certification Board, CNMs are nurses who have successfully completed a graduate-level nurse-midwife programme. Both CNMs and CMs are capable of giving the same calibre of care. Not all states licence CMs, while all states licence CNMs for independent practise. CNMs and CMs attended 312,129 births in the United States in 2010, accounting for 11.6% of all vaginal births and 7.8% of all births, according to the American College of Nurse Midwives.

Certified Professional Midwife (CPM)

The North American Registry of Midwives' certification standards have been satisfied by a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) (NARM). By completing an Entry-Level Portfolio Assessment Procedure while doing an internship with a licenced midwife or by completing a midwifery programme or school, candidates can become eligible to sit for the NARM exam. Applicants are required to complete the Entry-Level Portfolio Evaluation Program if the course or institution is not certified by the Midwifery Education Accreditation Council.

????????The Midwives Model of Care is something that CPMs are committed to offering.

????????Keeping track of a woman's overall health, not just her physical well-being, from conception through delivery.

????????Recognising pregnant women who require obstetrical care and providing them with the proper referrals.

????????Personalized prenatal education, counselling, and support for every woman, as well as help with labour and delivery and postpartum care for the mother and child.

????????Utilizing the least amount of technology possible.

Midwife with Direct Entrance (DEM)

Direct-entry midwives are experts in giving delivery at home and in independent birth facilities. Direct-entry midwives cannot obtain a national certification or licence, and each state has its own educational and licencing standards (if any).

Lay Nurse

A lay midwife is an uncertified or unlicensed midwife who frequently has informal education rather than formal education, such as an apprenticeship or self-study. While some states do not require lay midwives to be licenced, others do.

What significance does women's health have?

Why is women's health such a crucial issue? Considering that women are the foundation of a family's overall health, ensuring their access to high-quality treatment can also benefit the health of children and families. There is no doubt that the health of women affects the health of families and communities.
