INTRODUCTION
With modern blockchain technology evolving everyday, we are often overwhelmed by congestion, confusion, and the complexity of it all. However, one area of the blockchain market that has gained more notoriety than ever in the last year is the NFT realm. This recent influx of capital and attention into the NFT markets is not temporary, nor is it heading towards a decline. From an educated and strategically analytical outlook, we anticipate global adoption of NFTs by the mainstream population- including those who currently lack knowledge or involvement in the cryptocurrency industry. This widespread adaptation provides the market with a better way to buy, sell and transfer NFT's. Not only is an intuitive system required to achieve this, but a system that fits the narrative of a truly decentralized platform, one that rewards ALL stakeholders, and allows them to be involved with the formation and creation of new everchanging ideas.
To put into perspective the importance of this technology and the implied utility, allow us to get back to the basics. Since the beginning of mankind, people have been conducting business, the exchange of goods and services for something in return, whether that be a barter or currency exchange. As technology has evolved, so have transactions; Largely embracing the internet. Massive, monopolized corporations have dominated this market for decades now. People can list a good or service on these platforms in exchange for a currency. Now, all these companies are publicly traded, payout small dividends, and work to provide nominal gains through stocks to stakeholders. The problem with monopolies is simply the lack of competition only further encourages the lack of motivation to make changes that benefit their consumer base.
Apply that same concept to the blockchain, a space where people can continue to exchange goods and services for cryptocurrency, but on a system that is built by the users, for the users. A place where stakeholders have a say to how it is operated and can decide to enact change when they see fit. That is what we are building- a decentralized marketplace where exchanges take place, where transaction fees are redistributed to the stakeholders equally and equitably, and where the user base has the power to decide when and how changes take place. This is SPUME.
WHAT IS SPUME TOKEN?
SPUME is a token based on Ethereum Block Chain with a ticker: SPUME.The token is an implementation of Open Zeppelin's standard ERC20 token, withthe addition of their Snapshot class.SPUME is a platform where there is a market for NFTs.?Token holders are those who hold the SPUME token and share the revenue generated from the marketplace's transaction fees.?The goal of Spume is to create a decentralized platform on which users can trade and create non-fungible tokens. Spume will be the first truly decentralized and autonomous NFT community, marketplace, and token.
SPUME DAO:
?DAO means decentralized autonomous organization..A group of people can work together without trusting each other.?Members are those who work for the DAO.?In this case, Spume will have a number of members working together to expand and improve the NFT Marketplace. It's noted that members and shareholders can actually be different.?This system will be governed by a smart contract (potentially multiple in the future), and the direction that the Spume members build in is governed by the shareholders.
Members & Shareholders:
Entities of two are within the DAO: members and shareholders.?Workers (people who work for the DAO) get paid by the DAO Treasury, which is funded by the DAO’s Dividends.?Shareholders are people who do not work for the DAO but hold any number of Spume tokens.?It is noted that individuals can be both members and shareholders of the DAO.
Shareholder’s Ownership and Voting:
The owners of Spume tokens are the shareholders of the DAO, and therefore each is entitled to vote on proposals made by members.?Every shareholder can vote once on any vote, and the value of their vote is multiplied by the number of Spume tokens they own. Treasury and Dividends:
?The 2.5% Marketplace fee is a type of dividend. Since the DAO owns 20% of all SPUME tokens, they are entitled to a 20% Marketplace fee of 2.5%.?Instead of being paid out to an individual wallet, these dividends are paid out to the DAO Treasury smart contract. BENEFIT OF HOLDING SPUME:
The Spume Marketplace charges a 2.5% sales fee for all purchases made using their platform.?2.5% of every sale is given to all SPUME holders, based on the amount of SPUME tokens they hold. The team and DAO will not apply any additional fees on top of the 2.5% or tax the 2.5% sales fee.?Because the DAO holds 20% of all tokens, they are entitled to 20% of the 2.5% sales fee. They will fund their treasury through their entitled dividends.
