Do you know PTFE Balls?

PTFE solid ball is made of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) as the main material. Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) own many excellent properties such as?a chemical resistance(insoluble in all known solvents), flame resistant, low coefficient of friction, self-lubrication?and stable mechanical properties. Due to these special properties,PTFE balls are used in chemical handling pumps, check valves, ball bearings for light loads, volume displacement balls for chemical baths and many other uses.

The Applications of PTFE Balls

PTFE Solid Balls

  • In filtering applications, PTFE balls are often used?as check valves?to control fluid flow. PTFE balls are non-stick,smooth, chemical resistance. Therefore PTFE balls can remain free to move, function efficiently over long periods, maintain fluid flow fluently, easy to clean and can be used in long time.?
  • In chemical applications, PTFE balls are frequently used in valves and pumps?because PTFE is resistance to nearly all chemicals, including acids, bases, solvents, and salts. This makes PTFE balls an ideal choice for use in industries such as chemical processing, pharmaceuticals, and food manufacturing, where maintaining the purity of fluids is crucial, and where materials must be able to handle exposure to aggressive substances.PTFE?also retains its structural integrity and resists chemical degradation, ensuring long-term reliability and preventing costly downtime or contamination.
  • PTFE balls can operate effectively in high-temperature environments, withstanding temperatures up to 260°C without losing their chemical resistance or mechanical properties. This makes them ideal for applications involving high-temperature chemical reactions, autoclaving processes, or steam sterilisation.
  • In pharmaceutical industry, PTFE balls are used in valves and pumps involved in the production of sensitive chemical compounds.?PTFE ball can?tolerate extreme heat, maintain purity?and non-reactivity,ensure the final products?purity.
  • The?low coefficient of friction?of PTFE Balls minimises wear during long-term usage. PTFE balls are used in valve seats?and its low friction allows it?smooth operation over prolonged periods, reducing the risk of mechanical failure. This is particularly important in chemical processing plants, where valves are subject to frequent use and need to function reliably under varying pressures and fluid types.

All in all,PTFE can be used in many industries including filtering industry, chemical industry, food industry, pharmaceutical industry and so on. The size of PTFE balls is 3mm to 100mm. They can meet requirements of different applications.
